Sphinx is an original photographic project by Ekaterina Desiatova, conceived and created entirely by the artist.
Blending beauty and fashion photography, the project draws inspiration from the Sphinx — the immortal guardian of time, silently watching over humanity for millennia.
Before her eyes, civilizations rise and fall. Faces, empires, languages and religions fade into history. She remains.
The Sphinx does not cry. Not because she cannot feel, but because eternity has never known loss.
She existed long before the first names were spoken, before the first kingdoms were built and the first laws were written. Her silence is older than human memory itself.
But if one day a golden tear were to fall from her face — who dared to make the Sphinx cry? And what would be the price?
